So a little late on the post but this hurr is a logo design and paint up I recently did for Gallery 2010 in Surry Hills. From the get go they’ve been doing an incredible array of shows and one-off installations so anytime you manage to swing by I would highly recommend it! What I do not recommend though, is having a lanky man force a scaffold into place (‘It’ll hold, surrrre!’) and painting on a roller door - first and lasts people.

Still, it was super enjoyable and a total pleasure to work with Sam, Boris and Maths yet again.

HOLY HELL! I found out on Friday that I’ve been accepted as an intern for 6 months at the Michelberger Hotel in Berlin - they have an amazing little studio amongst the mental hotel rooms so I’m packing my bags and hauling ass over to completely blow my mind and learn more German than ‘No, that is my hamburger’.
It’s going to be all hand drawn, weirdly incredible good times stay tuned while I freak out and try not to freeze in the later months. EEEEEE!!!!!!

FINGERS CROSSED

Wrapped up a massive painting job, had my birthday (pew!), need to run off to Semi-Perm somehow today, packs go out next week to all those lovely people in waiting, and hopefully I will receive the best new evah today. If not, tomorrow is Tio’s.

I CANNOT LOSE!

So turns out my baby that I would easily say started all of this is up for auction (again?!) at Global Gallery tonight, alongside work from the very great Ben Frost, Beastman, Bennett, Meggs, Obey, Bridge, Reg Mombassa and Anthony Lister and Pro Hart and all these other people who are exponentially greater than me and who don’t know who I am but I think they’re just great and I’ll stop writing before this gets creepy. Anyway.
More info at globalgallery.tumblr.com, and thanks to the men at Westsyde Connection for not leaving my deck to rot under some stairs somewhere.

After hauling my ass down to Melbourne for Jacky Winter’s Field Trip (which was super inspiring and I only fell asleep once!) I found out my interview with Acclaim mag is online! I think I’m a feature on the web and not in print - but with Iggy all over everything this cover was always going to go up. A massive to Alex for letting me rant on.
Go check it doods!

From The Drawing Arm launch! Pew pew!

So here’s my full piece from last weeks Girls Girls Girls show with The Tate - I had such a freaking fun night getting to catch up with a whole bunch of people and see some other ladies doing really incredible work. This weeks show is looking incredible as well so I highly recommend it doods!
Thanks to Chris for getting the whole thing together and to my chums who came along, even though I only the one piece up it was so great to have you all there. Naw.

‘Scuse the balls photo quality once again but here’s a teaser of my little ditty that’s going up in the Tate’s ‘Girls Girls Girls’ exhibition - so those in Sydney, come see! After bumping in today the other works will put me to shame so come for the beers, stay for my tortured artist tears.
In other news, The Drawing Arm launched last Thursday night, and it was absolutely amazing to get to meet what other illustrators I could spot, as well as Reg Mombassa and the best people alive from The National Grid.
And then I had a super boozy dinner which, y’know, topped off good things with lovely friends.
And for those still reading there is ONE SPOT LEFT for the good gifts I have to give away - and they’re going as far as the US so send me yer address!
I’M BUSY! MORE SOON!
