So turns out my baby that I would easily say started all of this is up for auction (again?!) at Global Gallery tonight, alongside work from the very great Ben Frost, Beastman, Bennett, Meggs, Obey, Bridge, Reg Mombassa and Anthony Lister and Pro Hart and all these other people who are exponentially greater than me and who don’t know who I am but I think they’re just great and I’ll stop writing before this gets creepy. Anyway.
More info at globalgallery.tumblr.com, and thanks to the men at Westsyde Connection for not leaving my deck to rot under some stairs somewhere.
After hauling my ass down to Melbourne for Jacky Winter’s Field Trip (which was super inspiring and I only fell asleep once!) I found out my interview with Acclaim mag is online! I think I’m a feature on the web and not in print - but with Iggy all over everything this cover was always going to go up. A massive to Alex for letting me rant on.
Go check it doods!
So here’s my full piece from last weeks Girls Girls Girls show with The Tate - I had such a freaking fun night getting to catch up with a whole bunch of people and see some other ladies doing really incredible work. This weeks show is looking incredible as well so I highly recommend it doods!
Thanks to Chris for getting the whole thing together and to my chums who came along, even though I only the one piece up it was so great to have you all there. Naw.
I’M GUNNA BE IN THE TATE! In Australia but - same same, Lo-Fi Collective’s new little (or should I should I excellent, take over a pub, claim studio space, show shows) sister project The Tate has been running out a show a week and coming up next is Girls, Girls, Girls. I’ll be hanging a little ditty (working pics soon!) alongside these other super talented ladies so come see!
Click through to see the amaze-balls space, and Jules, you said you read this, so I’ll see your well dressed/drunk ass soon x
GO GET ‘EM! My winning design for the COMMON pitch went up on Threadless last week, and even though I’m very slow on getting the news out I have amazing timing because they’re currently $9.99!! Sounds exxxcellent - though I have a feeling that sale lasts about 3 more hours… but anyway. Doods, laydeez, snap them up.
Also through this link (http://www.common.is/2012/03/do-shirt-that-matters-introducing-the-common-x-georgia-hill-tee/) there’s iphone wallpapers, desktop wallpaper, all things glorious and good deeds by COMMON a plenty. YES.

Well I was going to keep this wrapped til I have a glorious print and event photos to show but - ner. This here is my piece for The Drawing Arm’s launch that’s coming up in April which I am sooo keen for, though the idea was originally developed for the Damp Space poster call out (alas I totally missed the boat on that one, boom-tsh!)
It’s been really awesome giving myself a little bit of extra focus on getting more illustrative not with the type but with the whole composition - next big focus, pew pew!
You know how it works! Just a little to call out to the glorious people who are following me (heck, even if you’re not) to show me some love for Qantas SOYA Visual Design and Communications category for this years competition. I would win some lovely cash money and, even better, a mentor and dreamy travel. It would be huge for me to take out something like this so pretty please, cherries, kittens, puppies and cream!
Last spam I’ll ever dish up, click the image to link to the site and like away!
The Drawing Arm is officially up and humming so go seeee! I’m super chuffed to be in the fine company of these fine artists and working with the folks from The National Grid. Good times!
So while I’ve spent the past few days busting out some serious signs for Cassette Nine all the way down in New Zealand, I’m a duffer and didn’t get a single shot of my work. So the only way you’ll be seeing that is hung in all it’s glory (that sounds…anyway).
Meanwhile! Here’s some shots from the Buffalo Dining Club mural I wrapped up recently - I’ve got 4000 photos to sift through so you’ve been warned, this could be the beginning of many. Footage soon, I swear.
